CBS MORNING NEWS - The original CBS Morning News began as a predecessor to CBS' current Early Show in the 60's and early 70's. The program first aired in its current format on October 4, 1982 as the CBS Early Morning News, with then- Morning News anchors Bill Kurtis and Diane Sawyer hosting the show. Today the show is hosted by Michelle Gielan.
