SUZE ORMAN, SHUT UP BECAUSE YOU ARE DENIED!

Who does Suze Orman thinks she is? This woman hosts her show and goes on many other talk shows to counsel and give advice to the common person on how to handle, spend and invest their money. Let me tell you, she has no right or credibility to be doing this. In 1973 Suze was employed as a waitress and a long time customer gave her $50,000.00 to fulfill her dream of opening her own restaurant. She made a very poor choice, by having Merrill-Lynch invest the money and lost it all. Realizing she would never be able to replace the money on the earnings of a waitress, she took a training course with Merrill-Lynch and discovered that they had committed an illegal act with her investment. She then turned around and sued Merrill-Lynch, which resulted in her receiving back the $50,000.00 plus interest. The bottom line here is Suze never had the knowledge on her own to make or advise anyone on how to invest their money. The only education this woman has is a degree in Social Work.

This is why I find her show comical. The only reason this woman has any money now is because someone fronted her $50,000.00, she lost it and sued someone to get it back. Sure she has made her fortune advising other people over the years on how to invest their money, but financial advisers get paid whether their financial advice is right or wrong. In my opinion she is no different then CNBC's Jim Cramer, who is all mouth, has no foresight, and then screams "the sky is falling" when things are going bad.

Suze Orman is a multi-millionaire denying ordinary, working class people when they need to buy a new washer and dryer. You have to be kidding me! Her attitude only proves how out of touch she is when she is sitting in her mansion, with her servants, denying the common person to purchase a needed household item. This woman also advises married couples whether or not to make purchases for each other, yet she states the only good reason to be married is for the taxation; how could a single lesbian advise any couple whether or not to do anything?

Orman can have her show, go on Oprah, and write a book, but when she starts giving advice that is actually ahead of the curve, I'll start listening. Until then do your viewers a favor and throw up a simple disclaimer that you really have no clue!

Suze didn't start as a financial wiz, and she admits her full story on her show. She's not pretending to be something she's not. If you watch the show you will see that she gives some very good, basic advice on everyday situations.
The "Can I Afford It" segment of the show is pretty spot on. She advises people when they are spending beyond their limits.
Yes, she has an annoying voice at times, but the words are true.

Just because she started out as a waitress doesn't mean she lacks good instincts in her new field.

She got lucky to find an area where she COULD make a heck of a lot more than $50K. I think her instincts regarding the market and financials are quite good. I agree with her advice most of the time because it's sound and sensible.

This "article" sounds like sour grapes....

Debt and spending is such a subjective thing. I like Suze at times, but sometimes I think she lacks empathy. It is very easy for someone with her type of wealth to deny people. Sometimes we just have to live for the moment and splurge once in a while. Without doing that, it is easy for us to go on a spending binge and be even more irresponsible.
