Fox News Channel was launched on October 7, 1996 to 17 million cable subscribers. The network slowly rose to prominence in the late 1990s. Some of their hosts include, Bill O' Reilly, Sean Hannity, Shepard Smith and Glenn Beck to name a few. Their trademark slogan has been "Fair and balanced" for which they have taken some criticism, beacuse Fox News has been accused of "leaning to the right."
